Elephant population dips in Karnataka

24 Oct 2007, 0309 hrs IST,Ashwini Y S,TNN BANGALORE: Karnataka hosts a healthy population of the gentle giants. That's the finding of the agency which recently conducted a study of the elephant population in the state. The census carried out by the state forest department in May deduced that Karnataka has an estimated elephant population of 4,035.
